Police in Spain Rescue Dog ( pitbull ) Trapped in a Hot Car
The Guardia Civil of Aspe (Alicante) has rescued a pitbull dog trapped inside a vehicle parked in a residential area of the town.
According to informed sources the Armed Institute, agents of the municipality received an anonymous call this Wednesday morning that warned them of a possible illegal occupation of a residence. While approaching the scene, they found no signs of it, however they realized the existence of a vehicle parked nearby with a pitbull inside with the windows closed and no ventilation means.
The agents tried contact with the owner of the vehicle but he did not answer any calls, they attempted to contact her using the patrol’s car megaphone system in case the owner was in a building close by, although they were also unsuccessful.
With the vehicle in full sun, at a temperature average of close to 35ºC (95ºF), the animal began to show signs of weakness. Therefore, at 12:15 hours the Guardia Civil decided to break one of the windows of the vehicle.
Once outside the animal, the agents refreshed her with water, they found that it was a female specimen of a race classified as “potentially dangerous” and lacked an identification chip.
The “Animal Shelter of the Middle” in Vinalopó, Elda, was presented at the site at the request of the agents and has taken over the animal.
On the other hand, the Guardia Civil are still trying to locate the owner of the vehicle, a Bulgarian citizen of 29 years, faces a misdemeanor animal abuse. The vehicle was removed by police agents of the Local Police of Aspe, has been impounded at the municipal council facilities.
